Bohopo has secured a financing facility from Banco BPI for Maison Arya Porto, a 22-room hotel at Rua do Bonjardim 690-694 in central Porto. Construction is under way, and completion is set for December 2027. The value and the terms were not disclosed.
The facility is Banco BPI's second project with Bohopo in Portugal. Pedro Silva Lopes, director of structured finance tourism at the bank, said the development represented that second project.
Two loans, one lender
Bohopo's own record dates the first Banco BPI loan to a June 2024 release that covered Mila Porto. Mila Porto opened in June 2026 against a planned March 2026 opening.
MAADS Advisers supported the transaction and has advised Bohopo on its wider financing strategy in the city.
Portuguese contractor Norasil will deliver the project. Norasil built Mila Porto.
Third asset in the Porto cluster
Maison Arya Porto becomes Bohopo's third Porto asset. A March 2025 release recorded the project at the same 22 rooms.
The company lists Mila Porto as open and two further Porto hotels as under development, both scheduled to open in 2027.
The cluster model
Bohopo builds clusters of boutique hotels in selected European cities. The properties share operational resources, and each keeps its own market position.
Stavros Pantelides, director of acquisitions and investment management, called Porto "a high-conviction market" for the group. He cited visitor demand, a constrained supply of quality hotels and long-term hospitality fundamentals.
The company's home page lists Apollo Palm and Vasi Boutique in Athens, The Mila Brussels, Casa Laveni in Milan, Maison Arya in Brussels and The Mila Porto. It names locations in Athens, Brussels, Milan, Paris, Porto and Nicosia.
The Athens claim
The release calls Maison Arya Porto the third hotel under the brand, after openings in Athens and Brussels. Bohopo's own record carries one Maison Arya: the Brussels property behind Place Sainte-Catherine, which maisonarya.com lists as its only address.
The Athens opening stands as the company's account.
What the facility signals
Banco BPI has now lent to one platform twice in one city, and the same contractor delivers both projects. The Maison Arya project adapts an existing city-centre building, which is the route Bohopo describes for its acquisitions.
The second facility carries a December 2027 completion. The platform's two remaining Porto openings land in the same year.
