Three seats filled at Hotel Equities
Hotel Equities named three people to its leadership team on 7 October 2026. Olya Brase takes the chief financial officer seat. Daniel Ben-Efraim joins as senior vice president of sales, covering destination and lifestyle hotels. Jenny Moore becomes vice president of revenue management for lifestyle hotels.
The Atlanta company operates and develops hotels, including destination, lifestyle and full-service properties.
The finance seat and what it covers
Brase leads the finance organisation and works as a partner to operations, ownership and the board. The release sets three priorities for her. She strengthens financial visibility and governance, advances the company's finance technology, and develops a System and Organization Controls 1 programme.
Brase ran a finance transformation at Highgate across a portfolio of more than 400 hotels. She held leadership roles in internal audit, finance and strategic initiatives at Aimbridge Hospitality, where she built the internal audit and SOC 1 programmes and led post-acquisition integrations that included the Interstate Hotels & Resorts deal. She brings more than 20 years of finance and transformation work.
A SOC 1 report documents the controls at a service organisation that affect a client's financial reporting. For an owner, that is the controls behind the statements the operator sends.
Sales across two divisions
Ben-Efraim leads sales strategy across the Destination Collection and Springboard Hospitality divisions. His remit runs through commercial teams, property leaders and ownership groups. He joins from EOS Hospitality, where he was vice president of sales.
Ben Rafter, chief executive of Hotel Equities, said: “Together, these new additions to our team strengthen the finance and commercial platform behind every owner relationship we manage.”
Revenue management for the lifestyle division
Moore leads revenue management strategy across Springboard Hospitality, the lifestyle division. Her remit covers top-line performance and distribution, again with commercial teams, property leaders and ownership groups. She most recently led revenue and distribution strategy at Noble House Hotels & Resorts.
Indigo Road names a chief marketing officer
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group named Catherine Woods chief marketing officer on 14 October 2026. She reports to Steve Palmer, founder and chief visionary officer, and leads marketing across the group's restaurants, hotels, venues and membership clubs.
The seat carries two jobs. Woods strengthens the individual brand identities inside the group, and she builds awareness and equity for The Indigo Road itself. She brings more than 16 years of corporate marketing, with leadership roles at Belmond, part of LVMH, and a most recent post as vice president of marketing at Beemok Hospitality Collection.
The group started in Charleston, South Carolina in 2009. It manages restaurants, bars and food and beverage-driven boutique hotels across the United States.
PM Hotel Group adds three hotels near Portland
PM Hotel Group added three hotels in the Portland, Oregon metro. The additions take the Chevy Chase, Maryland company from four hotels in the market to seven.
The properties are the 73-room Hampton Inn Sherwood Portland, the 152-room Hampton Inn & Suites Portland Tigard and the 115-room Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro. The first two carry Hilton flags. The third is a new build and remains under development. The three carry 340 rooms combined.
Paul Sacco, chief growth and development officer, put the addition in the operator's own terms. “This expansion reflects our long-term commitment to the Pacific Northwest and the overall West Coast market area, and our ability to operate successfully across segments nationally,” he said in a statement.
PM manages more than 90 hotels across the United States, spanning focused service to luxury, a range Sacco names in the same statement.
What the Portland additions show about management growth
PM added hotels inside a market where it already operates. Three hotels take its Portland count from four to seven, and the company counts the new build in the managed portfolio before that hotel opens.
Hotel Dive carried all three items in its Lodging Lowdown column on 15 October, and Hotel Equities issued its appointments in its own release on 7 October.
