Three buildings, five days
The Moscone Center's event feed lists the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting 2027 from March 19 to March 23 across Moscone North, South and West. The Academy puts the exhibit hall on the Lower Level of the North Building and Global Education Day in Moscone West, Level 2, on Thursday, March 18.
Moscone North and South sit at 747 Howard Street, at Third and Howard. Moscone West sits at 800 Howard Street, at Fourth and Howard. The two complexes stand 298 metres apart on a straight line and 746 metres apart on the foot route.
Five days of program, three of floor
The scientific program opens at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, March 19, and closes at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23. The hall runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. More than 300 companies exhibit.
The floor closes on Sunday afternoon. The program runs two more days on meeting rooms alone.
Install week starts March 15
The exhibitor prospectus sets the target move-in for Monday, March 15, and gives Tuesday and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with all installation complete by 5 p.m. Thursday. An exhibitor working from the Monday opening needs the Sunday, March 14 night. That stay runs nine nights to a Tuesday departure.
The hotel ring
The venue FAQ states more than 20,000 hotel rooms within walking distance. The book-an-event page puts more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 rooms inside the same ring.
The Academy names the San Francisco Marriott Marquis at 780 Mission Street as its headquarters hotel. On OpenStreetMap coordinates the Marquis sits 265 metres from Moscone West on a straight line and 947 metres by foot. The InterContinental San Francisco at 888 Howard Street sits 126 metres and 345 metres on the same measures.
Affiliate space runs on Academy approval
The Academy approves affiliate functions at all official hotels and instructs hotels not to assign space without that approval. The category covers specialty society meetings, editorial board meetings and university reunion events.
Three dates govern the space. The priority application deadline is Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. Initial assignments go out on or after Nov. 20, 2026. Submissions close Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2027. Space requested after the priority date runs first-come.
A group may request one room at the headquarters hotel for more than one day on a 24-hour basis. The approved group contracts the hotel directly, and food and beverage minimums or room rental charges can apply.
The housing clock and the rate
Housing booked through the Academy closes Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2027. Maritz Global Events is the registration and housing provider, and FHT Global manages group room packages. The one-night room and tax deposit posts on or after Friday, Feb. 26, 2027.
Engine puts the San Francisco average at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. March reads $197, the highest month in the set and 19 percent above that average. February reads $166. December reads $129. The publisher defines the figures as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at each search.
The weeks on either side
The venue feed places GDC Festival of Gaming in all three buildings from March 1 to March 5. TDX 2027 takes Moscone West on March 10 and 11. RSAC 2027 runs April 5 to 8. The AAD meeting opens eight days after TDX closes and closes 13 days before RSAC opens.
