One Provider on the Registration File
The American Society of Clinical Oncology holds its Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium 2027 from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 January at Moscone West, 800 Howard Street, San Francisco.
A fraud alert sits on the registration page and on the housing page. Its first sentence names the authorised operator: "SPARGO, Inc. is the only official registration and housing provider for ASCO Meetings and Symposia."
The alert describes the risk in one line. Individuals unaffiliated with ASCO or SPARGO may entice prospective attendees into registering and booking hotel rooms through illegal third-party websites.
A second line covers charges. ASCO states that it charges no service fee, tax or VAT on registration.
The Paragraph Aimed at Exhibitors
The alert carries a separate paragraph on list sales, and it addresses exhibitors directly. Companies are soliciting ASCO exhibitors with lists that allegedly contain ASCO attendee information.
Three statements follow. ASCO does not sell or transfer attendee information to third parties for commercial purposes. A message making those claims is not affiliated with ASCO, and it carries no ASCO attendee information. ASCO works with InFocus for mailing list sales, and ASCO never sells email addresses.
The inquiry route for the official attendee list is the address sales@infocusmarketing.com.
Exhibitor registration and exhibitor hotel reservations open in the second half of 2026, by the exhibitor page.
The Deadline the File Shares
One stamp closes hotel reservations and early registration together. The organiser prints it as 2 December 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
Housing terms change after that minute. A late reservation goes onto a space-available basis, and higher rates may follow.
One protection survives the deadline. Cancellations must be made 72 hours before the arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee.
The Prior Edition in Numbers
The association's previous-meeting demographics page sizes the demand. The 2026 edition drew 5,190 registrations: 4,230 professionals, 770 exhibitors and 190 media and others.
The professional count splits into 3,490 in-person and online registrations and 740 online-only registrations.
The symposium site lists 54 countries represented, including the United States, Japan, Canada, China, the United Kingdom and France.
