Six blocks, two closed dates
CANVAS 2026 runs 1 to 4 November at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. The venue holds Halls A1-B-C from Friday 30 October.
The organiser lists six official hotels. Five carry a printed distance. Rates run from $184 to $255 a night, taxes and fees excluded.
Two deadlines have passed. Group requests for 10 or more rooms shut on 14 September. Individual reservations shut on 12 October at 10 p.m. EST, and the hotels charge the one-night deposit on or after that date.
Who sits where
Hotel Eastlund at 1021 NE Grand Avenue sits 0.17 miles from the building. Courtyard Portland Downtown Convention Center at 435 NE Wasco Street sits 0.29 miles out. Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center at 1441 NE 2nd Avenue sits 0.43 miles out. DoubleTree by Hilton Portland at 1000 NE Multnomah Street sits 0.46 miles out. Hilton Portland Downtown carries 1.87 miles.
Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, 375 NE Holladay Street, sits across the street. The housing page prints no mileage for it.
The ladder
Four rates sit on each card. Hyatt Regency reads $235 single, $235 double, $245 triple and $255 quad. Eastlund reads $219, $229, $239 and $249. Courtyard reads $224, $224, $234 and $244. Crowne Plaza reads $209, $209, $219 and $229. DoubleTree reads $205, $205, $215 and $225. Hilton reads $184, $184, $194 and $204.
Singles span $51, or 27.7 percent of the lowest. The top quad runs $71 above the lowest single, or 38.6 percent.
Five hotels hold the double rate level with the single. Eastlund adds $10. The triple adds $10 at five hotels and $20 at Eastlund. The quad adds $20 at five and $30 at Eastlund.
The Hilton's transit term
Hilton Portland Downtown carries the only transit line on the page. The entry offers a free MAX pass that drops a guest at a stop in front of the convention centre.
The venue runs cashless. It takes credit and debit cards and touchless payment.
What a cancellation costs
Cancellations and changes run free from 1 May through 21 September. From 22 September through 12 October the fee is $40. After 12 October the hotel handles the change and the deposit stays with the hotel.
The organiser dates page prints the hotel reservation deadline and the hotel late cancellation deadline on 7 October, with up to two nights of room and tax chargeable after it. The hotels page prints the reservation deadline on 12 October. Both pages belong to the organisers, and the two dates sit five days apart.
Orchid Events is the only official housing provider. Its agents answer 888-307-6880 on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST. The page warns that unauthorised housing companies approach attendees with room offers.
The nights this meeting sells
The hall booking opens Friday 30 October. Two workshop days sit ahead of the meeting. A presentation workshop runs Saturday 31 October from 2 to 5 p.m., and the first half of a two-day Bayesian course runs from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Sunday 1 November workshop block runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A delegate on a Saturday workshop holds the Friday night. A delegate on a Sunday workshop holds the Saturday night.
The meeting runs 1 to 4 November. The booking closes on 4 November, and the next entry on the venue calendar is an HBA Housing Forecast Breakfast in Portland Ballroom 251-252-253-258 on 6 November.
The venue October calendar lists four events. CANVAS is the last of them, and ZERO to THREE holds Hall A on 28 and 29 October.
The three figures to watch
