Volleyball Qualifier Commits the Indianapolis Convention Center to January 2027

The venue commits Exhibit Hall A-K to the 2027 Central Zone Invitational on 23-24 January and forecasts 20,000, against a January feed totalling 32,500 and a housing block reading 105 of 107 properties sold out.

20,000 over two days

The Indiana Convention Center has committed Exhibit Hall A-K to the 2027 Central Zone Invitational on 23 and 24 January 2027. The venue forecasts 20,000 attendees. The venue lists the hosts as the Capitol Sports Center and Circle City Volleyball.

Those figures come from the venue's own event page. The page carries the date pair in its title block, in two date spans and in its meta description. All three agree.

The January the venue publishes

The venue's events feed returns eight events between 1 January and 1 February 2027, with a forecast attendance on every row. The month totals 32,500 attendees.

The rows read Victory Athletics Spirit 450 on 9 January, the Whitetail Film Tour 300 on 9 January, the Youth Rally and Mass Service 1,500 on 20 January, the Central Zone Invitational 20,000 on 23 and 24 January, the Dot Foods, Inc. National Business Meeting 2,000 on 27 to 29 January, the Circle of Stars Gymnastics Invitational 5,000 on 29 to 31 January, the RxHealing Sales Convention 2,000 on 29 to 31 January and The Indianapolis Royal Weekend 1,250 on 31 January.

The qualifier's 20,000 is 61.5 percent of that month on the venue's own feed.

The supply signal sits on the same page

Every page of the venue site carries a recent-news block. One entry, dated 21 April 2026, reads "Signia by Hilton Indianapolis Now Accepting Reservations for February 2027."

The entry describes an 800-room new-build. It names the property the city's tallest hotel and the convention center's newest headquarters hotel. Reservations cover stays beginning 1 February 2027. The publisher calls the Signia brand's Indiana property its first in the Midwest.

The entry states that the City of Indianapolis owns the hotel, that the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County leads operations, and that the building sits on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade in the Wholesale District with direct skywalk access to the convention center.

The qualifier's last day is 24 January 2027. The Signia's first bookable night is 1 February 2027, eight days later.

The venue footer carries its standing counts on the same page. Downtown Indianapolis holds 7,100 hotel rooms, 4,700 of them connected to the convention center by skywalk. The footer also gives 200 downtown restaurants within walking distance and 15 minutes to Indianapolis International Airport.

Visit Indy publishes a second count for the same building. Its connected-hotels page gives the Signia at 803 rooms and the connected total at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms once the hotel opens. The venue publishes 800 rooms and 4,700 connected rooms. Each figure stands with its publisher.

Three days either side

The feed places two rows against the qualifier's weekend. The Youth Rally and Mass Service runs 20 January 2027 at a 1,500 forecast, three days ahead of the qualifier's Saturday hall opening. The Dot Foods, Inc. National Business Meeting runs 27 to 29 January 2027 at a 2,000 forecast, opening three days after the qualifier's Sunday close.

Widening the window to 15 February 2027 returns 13 events. That list adds the Henry Schein National Sales Meeting on 2 to 4 February, the Indiana Health and Safety Conference and Expo on 7 to 10 February, the Indiana Green Expo on 8 to 10 February, the Core-Mark Expo on 10 to 11 February and an Economic Club of Indiana luncheon on 12 February.

The room side

The event's own housing programme publishes 107 properties at event rates from $115 a night with a $12.00 booking fee per reservation, under the organiser's Tournament Advantage Program. The organiser requires all out-of-town teams to book through it.

A read of the block on 24 September 2026 returned 105 of the 107 properties sold out, with the room-type rows inside the cards reading "None left" 198 times. Two properties could take a booking. Conrad Hilton Downtown Indianapolis priced a King at $312, and Signia by Hilton Indianapolis Convention Center held six rooms left in a Club Signia Suite at $583.

20,000 forecast attendees against the venue's 7,100 downtown rooms is 281.7 percent of the downtown room count. Against the 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms it is 425.5 percent.

The venue's feed carries the January count. The Signia entry carries the supply. On the published record the weekend sits between a 1,500-person rally and a 2,000-person business meeting, and 800 downtown rooms arrive eight days after it closes.
