Disrupt sells its own four-hotel attendee rate list

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 lists four hotels within half a mile of Moscone West and sells every attendee rate through one named reservations partner.

A conference that sells its own room list

TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 runs Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 October at Moscone West, 800 Howard St, San Francisco. The organiser's event page carries three scale lines for the edition: 10,000+ attendees, 32 billion dollars raised by Startup Battlefield alumni, and 20,000+ connections made.

The hotel page sells the attendee room programme. It runs the heading Book Your Disrupt Hotel over the line Get exclusive low rates available only for attendees. The page states it has secured exclusive first-come, first-served rates at a range of premium hotels within walking distance of Moscone West.

Four properties and four distances

The page names four properties and prints a distance from Moscone West on each card. Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA sits 0.2 miles away. Hotel Zelos San Francisco and InterContinental San Francisco sit 0.3 miles each. Grand Hyatt San Francisco sits 0.5 miles.

The page carries no dollar rate for any of the four properties.

Four perks and one booking route

The page describes each rate as lower than the price at the official hotels and other travel sites. It lists free cancellation and modification, no upfront cost, and rewards points and loyalty programs that work as expected.

The FAQ fixes the channel. An attendee books through the reservations partner to receive the discounted rate. The rates apply only to the hotels listed on the partner's page. The page gives availability as while rooms last and carries no booking cut-off date.

The named partner is 38 North Connections. Booking help and other questions route to TechCrunch@38NConnections.com, and the page states a reply within 24 hours.

Where the four names sit in the district

The Yerba Buena Partnership publishes a hotel list for the district, 11 properties with street addresses running from Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa at 250 4th St to W San Francisco at 181 3rd St. InterContinental San Francisco appears on it at 888 Howard St. Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown Soma appears at 50 3rd St.

Engine puts the citywide average at 165 dollars a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The page defines those as par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search. October reads 176 dollars, 7 percent above the average. September reads 192 dollars, 16 percent above it. San Francisco ranks 18 of 50 major markets at 11 percent above the 148-dollar median.

The venue's directions page routes attendees to Moscone West through Powell station on BART or MUNI. The Moscone Center states it has no on-site parking.
