The Convention Center Confirms a Second Annual Forum
The Indiana Convention Center lists the Emerging Leaders' Summit for 7 October 2026 in Meeting Rooms 231-239, with doors open at 8:30 a.m. and a forecast attendance of 220. The venue's calendar data carries 7 October as both the start and the end of the event. The organiser, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, calls the same event the Emerging Leaders Forum. This is the second year.
The Date Sits Inside a Full Week
The venue's own calendar lists 16 events between 22 September and 15 October. The Gas Machinery Conference runs 4 to 7 October and closes on the forum's date. The ISBA and IAPSS Annual Conference runs 5 to 6 October. The FullScale Symposium and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions both open 8 October and run to 10 October.
Five dates sit open in that window: 23 and 24 September, 2 and 3 October, and 11 October. The forum lands on a Wednesday between two multi-day groups.
What the Room Set Tells a Bid
Rooms 231 to 239 each hold 210 theatre-style, 80 banquet and 120 classroom on 1,785 square feet with a 15-foot ceiling, per the venue's Facility Guide. The nine-room set totals 16,065 square feet and 1,890 theatre seats.
At 220 delegates the group averages 24.4 people a room, 11.6 percent of the set's theatre capacity, and 73 square feet of meeting space per attendee. A property bidding this meeting covers a nine-room block of meeting space and the breakout rooms around it.
The published programme runs one day, from an 8:30 a.m. registration through a 4:45 p.m. adjournment. Out-of-town delegates need one night of rooms.
The Block Is a Discount Path With No Published Rate
The organiser routes lodging to the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at 1 South Capitol Avenue through corporate account ID #55737, subject to availability. No block rate and no cut-off date appear on the organiser's site. The Hyatt Regency holds direct connections to the Convention Center and to Circle Centre Mall, per Visit Indy's connected hotels page.
Registration is $199 for Chamber members and $249 at list. A Table of Six is $579 for members and $699 at list, which works out to $96.50 a seat at the member rate. The published agenda carries three food functions and four breaks across the day.
The Signia Adds Supply in February 2027
The venue's news feed carries a 21 April 2026 item on the Signia by Hilton Indianapolis. That release says reservations open for stays beginning 1 February 2027, the hotel carries 800 rooms, and it sits on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade in the Wholesale District with direct skywalk access to the Convention Center. The same release calls it the city's tallest hotel, the Convention Center's newest headquarters hotel, and a property with seven dining experiences and Indiana's largest ballroom.
The venue's expansion page gives 803 rooms for the same hotel against a December 2026 target, with 90,000 square feet of meeting space that includes a 50,455-square-foot Grand Ballroom, a 15,668-square-foot Junior Ballroom and a 9,000-square-foot Signature Ballroom. The page also lists a climate-controlled skywalk connection to the Convention Center's south campus and to Lucas Oil Stadium, 2,500 construction jobs, 400 new hotel jobs, and $69.3 million in projected new business from the hotel's sales teams.
Two room counts come from two pages of one publisher. A hotelier reading either figure should carry the page it came from.
What Central Indiana Hoteliers Face
Downtown Indianapolis carries 7,100 hotel rooms. The venue counts 4,700 of them as skywalk-connected to the Convention Center, and its hotels page states that more than half of downtown's rooms sit within blocks of the Center.
The market's headline numbers come from a Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot built on CoStar and STR data: 64.7 percent downtown occupancy against a U.S. average of 62.4 percent, a $209.11 average daily rate up 12 percent year over year, and $135.20 in RevPAR up 13 percent and 35 percent ahead of the U.S. average of $99.96.
The same published account reports more than 1,500 rooms under construction at mid-2025, 3,402 rooms in final planning and 3,220 proposed, alongside a PwC 2026 outlook of 0.9 percent national RevPAR growth, with upper upscale at 2 percent and upscale at 1.8 percent.
The Pickup on This One
A 220-delegate group on a single midweek day brings one night of room demand and a full day of meeting-space use in a nine-room set. The busiest stretch around it belongs to the Gas Machinery Conference, the ISBA and IAPSS Annual Conference, the FullScale Symposium and the American Dental Association Scientific Sessions.
The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis enters the same downtown inventory in February 2027, and the venue's expansion page states that the expansion makes two citywide conventions at one time possible.
