Furnaces North America Fills Four Midweek Days in Indianapolis

The Indiana Convention Center lists Furnaces North America 2026 on 12-15 October at 1,500 forecast attendance, while the organiser's own schedule ends Wednesday 14 October.

Four days on the venue calendar, three on the organiser's

The Indiana Convention Center lists Furnaces North America 2026 from 12 to 15 October in Exhibit Hall B at 1,500 forecast attendance. The Metal Treating Institute heads its own pages with 12 to 14 October and closes its schedule at 11 p.m. on Wednesday 14 October. The floor runs two days inside that window.

The institute's 2026 Fall Meeting is co-hosted with the show, per the venue listing.

The block and its deadline

The host hotel is the Marriott Hotel Downtown Indianapolis at $229, 350 W Maryland Ave, with a booking deadline of 25 September 2026. The property carries 650 rooms and 42,000 square feet of meeting space on Visit Indy's connected-hotels page. The organiser expects the block to sell out, and its site states that no third party books rooms for the show.

Engine's Indianapolis city average is $128 a night across 1.2M public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026, and its October figure is $134.

The supply arriving behind it

The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis is taking reservations for stays beginning 1 February 2027, per the venue's news item of 21 April 2026. That item puts the hotel at 800 rooms, seven dining experiences and Indiana's largest ballroom, on the Georgia Street promenade in the Wholesale District, with direct skywalk access to the Center. The City of Indianapolis owns the hotel and the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County leads operations.

The venue's expansion page gives 803 rooms, a December 2026 target and 90,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 50,455-square-foot grand ballroom. Visit Indy lists the same hotel at 803 rooms and 235,000 square feet of meeting space, inside a connected package it counts at 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms.

What the downtown market carries

Downtown Indianapolis ran 64.7 per cent occupancy against a U.S. 62.4 per cent, at an ADR of $209.11 and a RevPAR of $135.20. Those figures come from a Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot citing CoStar and STR that Bradford Allen republished on 19 March 2026. The same article reports 8.1 million room nights of demand in the 12 months to mid-2025, more than 580,000 above the pre-COVID peak, with more than 1,500 rooms under construction, 3,402 in final planning and 3,220 proposed.

The venue counts 7,100 downtown hotel rooms, with 4,700 connected by skywalk and 200 restaurants within walking distance.
