Two halls, two addresses
GDC Festival of Gaming runs 1-5 March 2027 at Moscone Center. The organiser has put the show in two buildings and given each one a job.
The Business Hall takes Moscone West, Monday to Friday. The Festival Hall takes Moscone South, Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 6pm.
The buildings sit 271 metres apart in a straight line. Monday morning has two front doors.
The queue forms at Howard Street
Badge pickup runs at the South Hall desk, Street Level, entered from Howard Street. Monday opens at 7:30am and closes at 8pm. Tuesday to Thursday runs 8am to 6pm. Friday shuts at 3pm.
An attendee who wants the Monday opening sleeps the Sunday night. The Friday close sets the Saturday departure.
Three nights carry both halls
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday run West and South together. Friday runs the meeting week alone.
The Business Hall Only pass sells at $125 on the Early Rate and covers Monday to Friday. The Festival Hall Only pass covers the three Festival days.
The block is still a promise
onPeak is the official housing partner. A party needing 12 or more rooms signs a sub-block agreement through GDC@onpeaksupport.com or on (888) 998-2784.
The organiser's FAQ reads: "Hotel blocks will open for GDC 2027 soon." No rate, no roster, no cut-off and no deposit term appear on the site as of 17 October 2026.
A hotel can price the week. It cannot price against a block rate that has not been published.
Supply within walking distance
Fourteen mapped hotels sit within 400 metres of Moscone West, and seven within 400 metres of Moscone South. Both counts are straight-line distances between geocoded points on 17 October 2026.
Two deadlines land before the show. The Early Rate closes 11 December 2026 at 11:59pm PT. Pass changes and cancellations close 5 February 2027, at $250 on a pass and $75 on hall-only and Career passes.
The Moscone Center has no on-site parking. Its FAQ points to neighborhood garages and valet service at most nearby hotels.
A property quoting the week holds the badge-desk hours and the two addresses. The block rate follows when onPeak publishes it.
