One counter holds the GU27 block
SPARGO, Inc. is the only official registration and housing provider for ASCO meetings and symposia. The Genitourinary Cancers Symposium runs 11 to 13 February 2027 at Moscone West in San Francisco. The organiser takes hotel reservations online only. It refuses them by telephone, mail and fax. A confirmed reservation returns an email at once.
The hotel page carries a fraud alert. Third-party websites sell GU27 registration and rooms to attendees. ASCO states that it has sold no attendee list.
The deadline that decides the rate
Hotel reservations and early registration close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesday 16 December 2026. A request after that clock is processed on a space-available basis. The organiser states it may carry a higher rate.
Four charges the published rate leaves open
The room rate includes internet access and fitness centre access. A hotel may bill a third or fourth occupant of one room. A requested room type carries no guarantee. Taxes and fees can change. The card given at booking only guarantees the reservation. The card presented at check-in pays the bill. ASCO may direct part of the housing fee to meeting expenses.
Three dates the desk cannot cross
Changes and cancellations run online through Wednesday 27 January 2027. Thursday 28 January takes neither. From Friday 29 January the hotel handles both directly.
Cancellation inside 72 hours of arrival costs one night. A Wednesday 10 February arrival puts that line at Sunday 7 February. A Thursday 11 February arrival puts it at Monday 8 February.
A group block sits outside the online system
A group block must come through the Customer Service Center, and a block secured elsewhere adds a charge to every registrant. The Group Leader opens the block online. The full cost lands on one invoice, and an unpaid invoice releases the rooms. Group fees and payments carry no refund.
The center sits at 1881 Campus Commons Drive, Suite 350, Reston, VA 20191. It answers 888-788-1522 inside the United States and 703-449-6418 outside it. Weekday hours run 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The demand behind the block
The 2026 edition drew 5,850 attendees. Professionals made 5,000 of the count. Of those, 4,200 held in-person access and 800 attended online only. Exhibitors made 620. Media and others made 230. The United States sent 3,067, then Canada at 233, Brazil and Germany at 160 each, and Japan at 145.
The house publishes two inventory counts. Its FAQ page reads more than 20,000 rooms within walking distance of the building. Its book-an-event page puts more than two-thirds of the city's 34,000 rooms inside that radius. The hotel page links a walking map of the district.
The neighbours on the venue calendar
SPIE Photonics West runs 30 January to 4 February 2027. The Orthopaedic Research Society meeting opens 19 February 2027. GU27 sits between the two.
Engine records a San Francisco average of $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. February reads $166, March $197 and December $129.
The symposium returns to San Francisco on 17 to 19 February 2028. That open sits 371 days after the 2027 open.
