2,000 Delegates Land in Indianapolis a Day After the Signia Opens

A 2,000-delegate sales meeting takes Exhibit Hall A-B at the Indiana Convention Center from 2 to 4 February 2027, one day after the Signia by Hilton Indianapolis begins taking stays. The 800-room tower adds Indiana's largest ballroom and 50,455 square feet of hotel meeting space to the connected package.

The booking on the venue's floor

A 2,000-delegate sales meeting assembles at the Indiana Convention Center on Tuesday, February 2, 2027, and closes Thursday, February 4. The venue page gives the room assignment as Exhibit Hall A-B and the forecast attendance as 2,000.

Visit Indy publishes the hall table. Hall A carries 44,000 square feet, 211 booths of 10 by 10 feet, 4,300 theatre seats and 2,370 banquet seats. Hall B carries 48,200 square feet, 231 booths, 4,650 theatre seats and 2,560 banquet seats. The pair gives 92,200 square feet, 442 booths and 8,950 theatre seats, which is 46.1 square feet per attendee at the published forecast.

The room buying stays off the record. The venue page's link labelled Visit Event Website opens henryscheinevents.com, the Henry Schein trade show hub. That page returns no match for the meeting's name and no match for Indianapolis. No block, rate or cut-off date for this meeting is published.

Where February puts it

The venue's event feed for 20 January to 28 February 2027 returns 14 records, six in January and eight in February. The Indianapolis Royal Weekend holds 31 January, two days before this group arrives. Indiana Health and Safety Conference and Expo runs 7 to 10 February, Indiana Green Expo 8 to 10, Core-Mark Expo 10 to 11, the Economic Club of Indiana Luncheon 12 February, the American Football Coaches Association Annual Convention 14 to 16, WWETT 22 to 25 and Aloha Indy 28 February. Monday 1 February and Friday 5 February carry no record. No feed record carries an attendance figure or a hall.

The property that opens first

The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis takes reservations for stays beginning February 1, 2027. That is one day before this group arrives.

The venue's news item of 21 April 2026 states 800 rooms, the city's tallest hotel, the Convention Center's newest headquarters hotel, seven dining experiences and Indiana's largest ballroom. It puts the hotel on the Georgia Street pedestrian promenade in the Wholesale District, with direct skywalk access to the Center and access to Lucas Oil Stadium and Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The City of Indianapolis owns the property, and the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County leads operations.

The venue's expansion page states 803 rooms and a December 2026 opening, with a climate-controlled skywalk connection to the Center's south campus and to Lucas Oil Stadium. It gives 90,000 square feet of meeting space: a 50,455-square-foot Grand Ballroom, a 15,668-square-foot Junior Ballroom, a 9,000-square-foot Signature Ballroom and seventy suites. The same page records 2,500 construction jobs, 400 new hotel jobs, almost $300 million in annual economic impact, up to $232 million in new conventions and a projected $69.3 million in new business from the hotel's sales teams.

Visit Indy's connected-hotels roster lists the Signia at 803 rooms and 235,000 square feet of meeting space with a 50,000-square-foot ballroom.

What the new tower changes for the rooms around it

The bureau's connected-hotels page states the expansion takes the connected package to 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms, and that the rooms within walking distance of the Center pass 10,000. The venue's own footer counts 7,100 downtown rooms and 4,700 on the skywalk. The bureau's new-developments page puts the package at 13 properties and 5,500 rooms.

The 2,000 delegates equal 28.2 percent of the 7,100 downtown rooms and 42.6 percent of the 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms. They equal 2.5 times the Signia's 800 published rooms.

The Grand Ballroom adds 50,455 square feet of hotel meeting space inside the connected package. The JW Marriott Indianapolis lists 104,482 square feet of meeting space and 1,005 rooms, inside Marriott IndyPlace, five interconnected Marriott brand hotels carrying 2,276 rooms.

Bradford Allen's March 2026 market article carries a Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot sourced to CoStar and STR. Downtown occupancy reads 64.7 percent, average daily rate $209.11, up 12 percent, and revenue per available room $135.20, up 13 percent. The same article records 8.1 million room nights of demand in the twelve months to mid-2025 and a mid-year pipeline of more than 1,500 rooms under construction.
