The group and its published size
The Indiana School Boards Association and the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents hold their 77th joint fall conference at the Indiana Convention Center on 5 and 6 October 2026.
The venue publishes a forecast of 1,000 attendees. The exhibit-hall page publishes "over 1,000 school officials across the state of Indiana". The two numbers agree.
Registration costs $375 a person. Two codes carry the party shape of the group. 5AND1TEAM takes $90 off a full five-member board travelling with one superintendent. 7AND1TEAM takes $120 off a full seven-member board with one superintendent. Both code values land at $15 a head.
The clocks buy two nights
Registration opens on Sunday 4 October, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday registration opens at 7:30 a.m., the general session runs 8:45 to 10:45 a.m., clinic sessions fill 11 a.m. to noon, lunch runs noon to 2 p.m., and two afternoon clinic blocks close the day at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday opens with a general session at 8:30 a.m. and two clinic blocks, and the last clinic ends at 12:15 p.m.
Those clocks buy two nights, Sunday and Monday, for a delegate who uses the Sunday registration window. A delegate who drives in on Monday morning needs one night. The published programme opens no function before Sunday at 10 a.m.
The weekend the group leaves empty
The venue booking calendar lists 12 events between 22 September and 15 October 2026. The ISBA/IAPSS conference sits between the Gas Machinery Conference on 4 to 7 October and the Emerging Leaders' Summit on 7 October.
The calendar publishes no event on 2 or 3 October, and this group opens its own programme on Sunday morning. A sales office holding rooms against a Friday or Saturday shoulder for this piece of business holds them against no published event.
The rooming list arrives party-shaped
Neither association publishes a hotel line, a room block, a rate, a cut-off date or a lodging page. Rooms sit in the open market, and registration stays open through the event.
The discount codes require a complete board and its superintendent in one transaction. The registration path ends in a checkout or an invoice routed through a district office, and a list built that way arrives as district approvals land.
Four desk rules follow. Write the name-change window into the reservation confirmation. Assign rooms at check-in from the list as it stands. Keep billing on the master account, so a substitution does not reopen payment. Staff the Sunday arrival window, which compresses a thousand delegates into four hours.
Keep the food promise small
The organisers publish no breakfast function on either morning. The Monday lunch, noon to 2 p.m., is the only meal function on the programme. That lunch sits inside the Indiana Convention Center, where Sodexo Live! holds exclusive food and beverage distribution rights. No food, beverage or novelties may enter the facility or be sold without the express written consent of ICCLOS management.
The venue runs cashless for food and beverage purchases and carries a cash-to-card kiosk in the Speedway Corridor vending area on the first level.
The programme carries five clinic blocks and one 120-minute lunch. A hotel selling into that grid funds breakfast and two coffee windows.
The shared week
The Gas Machinery Conference runs 4 to 7 October in the same building, with a venue forecast of 900. The two forecasts total 1,900, or 26.8 percent of the 7,100 downtown hotel rooms the venue publishes and 40.4 percent of the 4,700 rooms it publishes as skywalk-connected.
The exhibit floor is published for one day, 5 October. The exhibit-hall page reads "We are sold out!" with a waitlist contact at the association. IAPSS represents more than 400 education leaders across the state.
What to hold
Three items carry this piece of business. Breakfast covers for two mornings. A name-change window wide enough for district approvals. Sunday check-in capacity inside one four-hour window.
The block stays unpublished. A hotel that prices the Sunday and Monday nights and holds the breakfast covers matches the published shape of the group.
