Kumoricon's Block Closed on 21 October and the Rate Page Still Sells
Four Portland hotels publish official Kumoricon rates for 13 to 15 November. The reservation deadline on the same page reads 21 October 2026, four days before this read. The page was last updated 28 March 2026 and still prints the deadline as open.
The four properties are the whole official list. Each sits between 0.1 and 0.4 miles of the Oregon Convention Center at 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.
The Ladder Runs 185 to 235
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland, 1000 NE Multnomah St, lists $185 a night at 0.4 miles. Hotel Eastlund, 1021 NE Grand Ave, lists $199 at 0.1 miles. Courtyard Portland Downtown/Convention Center, 435 NE Wasco St, lists $214 at 0.2 miles. Hyatt Regency Portland, 375 NE Holladay St, lists $235 at 0.1 miles.
The page heads that column "rates starting from". Each figure is the property's entry rung, not a flat price for every room type.
Distance does not order the ladder. Hotel Eastlund sits 0.1 miles out and charges $14 more than the DoubleTree, which stands 0.3 miles further away. That step is 7.57 percent. The Courtyard adds $29 over the entry rung, 15.68 percent, for a 0.2-mile walk. The Hyatt adds $50, 27.03 percent, and faces the convention center across Holladay Street.
Each listing publishes its own access line. The Hyatt and Hotel Eastlund both sit across the street from the building on the MAX Blue, Red and Green lines. The DoubleTree sits at MAX Blue Line stops served every 15 minutes. The Courtyard publishes an eight-minute walk.
16.5 Percent Lands on Every Rung
The footnote under the table reads that rates listed do not include applicable taxes and fees, and that occupancy taxes in Portland are 16.5 percent, subject to change.
The $185 night bills at $215.53, of which $30.53 is tax. The $199 night bills at $231.84 and $32.84. The $214 night bills at $249.31 and $35.31. The $235 night bills at $273.78 and $38.78.
Three nights run to $646.58, $695.51, $747.93 and $821.33. Tax inside those totals runs from $91.58 to $116.33.
The Card Sits Uncharged Until Arrival
A credit or debit card reserves the room. The page states the card will not be charged until the guest arrives, so the block carries a held room through the stay.
Change and cancellation carry no fee or penalty when the hotel receives the request at least 72 hours before check-in. A request inside that window falls to the property's own terms.
The organiser states it cannot view or change an individual reservation. Every request routes to the property. Hyatt publishes "Find your reservation", DoubleTree "Find a stay", the Courtyard routes through Marriott Bonvoy and My Trips, and Hotel Eastlund publishes 503-235-2100 and contact@hoteleastlund.com.
Four Links and Two Conditions
Each hotel carries its own reservation link, so a booking settles against one property and one rate.
Two conditions sit on the block rate. Altonimbus Entertainment, the convention's producer, may receive a small portion of a reservation fee booked inside a block. A room booked direct or through another site may not count toward block participation.
The page publishes two signals in place of a remaining-room count. A room type missing from a search means that block has sold out of that type. A search that returns no booking option means at least one night in the range is gone, and the page's remedy is a shorter range or a lower occupancy count.
Cancellations return rooms to a block up to the cutoff date, and that date has passed. Staff booking carries no rate. The page states that staff booking details and the staff rate "will be announced in the near future".
