Lit Crawl SF 2026 Puts 51 Free Sessions Into 24 Mission District Venues

The free, no-RSVP night puts 51 sessions into 24 Mission District venues and closes with a $10 afterparty, with no room block or group rate published.

Twenty-Four Venues on One Saturday Night

Lit Crawl SF 2026 runs on Saturday 24 October through the Mission District. The organiser, Litquake, lists 24 addresses on its venue page. Twenty-one host phase sessions. Three sit outside the route: Mission Branch Library, Temporary Location, at 1234 Valencia Street; The Writers Grotto at 1663 Mission Street, Suite 602; and Page Street Co-working at 297 Page Street.

The listing on litcrawlsf2026.sched.com carries 52 numbered entries. Entries 01 through 51 are sessions. Entry 52 is the afterparty.

What the Operators Are

The organiser's Lit Crawl page describes the venues as bars, cafes, galleries and bookstores. The same sentence adds tattoo parlors, barbershops and laundromats. The map lists each address on the route.

Ten of the 21 phase addresses sit on Valencia Street. Four sit on Mission Street.

The Spend Window

The night runs from 5:00pm to 11:00pm. Phase 1 runs 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Phase 2 runs 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Phase 3 runs 8:00pm to 9:00pm. The afterparty runs 9:00pm to 11:00pm at The Drawing Room: Annex, 599 Valencia Street.

The phase windows leave a 30-minute gap twice, from 6:00pm to 6:30pm and from 7:30pm to 8:00pm. Two pre-crawl tailgates open earlier, at 2:30pm at The Writers Grotto and 3:00pm at Page Street Co-working. The map heads both FREE.

Admission to the crawl is free and takes no RSVP. Sched publishes the terms: no RSVPs are necessary, just show up, and seating and space are first come, first serve. The organiser has switched off its My Schedule tool. No page records who plans to attend which session.

The afterparty is the night's one published charge. Entry costs $10, with the letters NOTAFLOF printed beside the price. Across the 24 addresses that is the whole published spend record: a zero-ticket crawl, one paid close and no partner property behind either.

The Age Split Across the Route

The map marks three venues 21 and over: Martuni's at 4 Valencia Street, Blondie's Bar at 540 Valencia Street and Latin American Club at 3286 22nd Street. It marks Good Vibrations at 603 Valencia Street 18 and over.

Sched tags sessions. Its 21 filter returns nine session records across six venues. Its 18 filter returns six session records across six venues.

What the Property Side Publishes

Hotel, lodging, stay, parking, shuttle, coach, valet, room block and group rate return zero hits across the organiser's Lit Crawl page, the Sched host, the venue map and the two audience filter pages. No partner property, room block, rate, cut-off date or group code is published for the 24 October 2026 date. No staging area and no coach drop-off point is published.

The map carries the line LIT CRAWL IS BARTABLE and no further travel term.

The organiser runs the crawl from 988 Market St, Suite 700, San Francisco, CA 94102. The phone number is (415) 440-4177.

The Scale Figure

The organiser's Lit Crawl page states 250+ authors and close to 5,000 fans. It calls the night the world's largest free pop-up literary event. Both figures are the organiser's own. The page publishes no per-venue headcount and no attendance split across the three phases.

The same page states Lit Crawl started in 2004.
