Eight acts, one hotel
The Metropole Hotel Cork has published the line-up for its Jazz Festival Club. Hospitality Ireland carried the release on 13 October 2026 under Robert McHugh's byline.
The club runs across the October bank holiday weekend. The hotel sells tickets for Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October. The festival's Music Trail covers more than 70 venues across Cork City, Douglas and Kinsale.
What plays when
Friday 23 October carries The Swing Bandits, Souldriven, Jazz Allstarz, Harry Connolly Jazz Friends, Motones and Côté Calmet Quartet. Tickets cost 37 euro plus booking fee.
Saturday 24 October carries the New York Brass Band, Bobby Mc & The Dukes, Chief Keegan, Lamorotte, Lee Meehan Trio and Songstress Quartet across four floors. The hotel marks the night sold out. Tickets cost 47 euro plus booking fee.
Sunday 25 October carries the Full House Big Band, Busquitos, Ryan Quigley Quartet, Frankly My Dear, Art Crimes and Motones. The hotel lists final tickets remaining at 47 euro plus booking fee.
The release names eight acts. Five return from earlier bills: The Swing Bandits, Paul Dunlea Quartet, Harry Connolly Jazz Friends, Fiona Kennedy and the New York Brass Band. Three are new: Souldriven, CEO Experiment and Leopoldo Osio Trio.
The hotel's day pages add acts beyond those eight.
Music until the small hours
The hotel puts the club's finish at 2.30am. Live entertainment runs across several venues inside the building, and the hotel names the recently renovated lobby among them.
Seating is limited and first come.
Two dining packages
Jazz & Dine costs 95 euro per person for a three-course meal at The Merchant followed by guest-list entry to the club. Jazz Dine & Bubbles costs 120 euro per person and adds a half bottle of Prosecco each.
Guests on a Jazz Weekend package reach the public entertainment areas without a separate ticket. The hotel sells one-, two- and three-night packages.
Tickets and the door
Tickets sell through the hotel's Eventbrite page. Door sales run subject to availability.
The hotel calls itself the home of the original Cork Jazz Festival. Trigon Hotels dates the festival's start in the building to 1978.
What the group says
Sandra Murphy, group brand and communications manager at Trigon Hotels, said: “The Cork Jazz Festival is a special time of the year for music fans and The Metropole Hotel has been an integral part of that festival since its inception in 1978.”
She added: “People enjoy coming to The Metropole as they get a flavour of the many different types of music on offer in Cork across the weekend and it’s all under the one roof.”
What the property keeps in-house
The hotel books the acts, sells the tickets and runs the bars and restaurants alongside the music. The festival brings the citywide audience.
The hotel publishes no capacity figure for the club and no programme spend.
