Indiana IT Symposium Adds a Third Concurrent Booking on 14 October

Three groups hold the Indiana Convention Center across 14 October 2026, a combined forecast of 3,000, two published room blocks and a Signia reservation book open for February 2027.

Three bookings on one Wednesday

The Indiana IT Symposium takes 300 forecast attendees into Sagamore Ballroom 4-5 at the Indiana Convention Center on Wednesday 14 October 2026, per the venue's own listing. It runs one day.

Two further groups occupy the same building across that date. Metal Treating Institute - Furnaces North America runs 12 to 15 October in Exhibit Hall B with a forecast of 1,500 on the venue listing; the organiser's own site reads 12 to 14 October. The Best Practices Expo & Conference runs 13 to 15 October with a forecast of 1,200 and no published room.

The three forecasts total 3,000 for 14 October. That is 42.25 percent of the venue footer's 7,100 downtown hotel rooms. The symposium alone takes 4.2 percent of that stock and 6.4 percent of the venue's 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms.

The calendar page carries twelve entries at a time

The venue's upcoming-events listing shows twelve entries per page. Its first page opens on 22 September and ends on 12 October at the Furnaces entry. The 13 and 14 October entries sit on the second page, which runs from 13 October to 11 November. A revenue manager who reads the first page sees one of the three groups.

Three clocks

Furnaces opens its registration and badge desk on Monday 12 October from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the same window as its exhibitor move-in. Members-only training runs 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a kickoff reception runs 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday holds its registration desk from 7:00 a.m., technical sessions from 8:00 to 11:15 a.m. and the FNA Business Expo from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Furnaces programme closes Wednesday 14 October. Its business meeting runs 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. for members, sessions run 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., the expo floor runs 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., exhibitor move-out runs 2:30 to 10:00 p.m. and the MTI Final Night Dinner runs 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. That group's nights are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Best Practices Expo & Conference opens its first session at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday 13 October and closes its grid at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday 15 October. Its expo floor runs noon to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and noon to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thursday morning is a checkout window.

The IT Symposium runs 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the organiser's agenda, with a 4:30 p.m. programme close and a reception that runs to 6:00 p.m.

Two groups publish block terms

Furnaces publishes a host-hotel block at the Marriott Hotel Downtown Indianapolis, 350 West Maryland Avenue, at $229 a night, with a booking deadline of 25 September 2026. The Best Practices Expo publishes two reduced-rate properties, both connected to the Center through indoor walking tunnels. The Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station holds rooms at $214 a night with the cut-off extended to Friday 25 September. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis holds rooms at $229 a night with a reserve-by date of Friday 18 September.

The IT Symposium publishes no block, no rate and no cut-off date. One of the three groups in the building on 14 October arrives with no contracted room commitment on the public record.

The open market beside the blocks

Engine puts the Indianapolis nightly average at $128 across 1.2 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October averages $134. The page defines its figures as par rates, the cheapest public price at the time of each search, drawn from searches made 10 to 180 days before check-in.

Supply: the Signia and the connected package

The Signia by Hilton Indianapolis opens its reservation book for stays beginning 1 February 2027, per the venue's news item of 21 April 2026. That item gives 800 rooms, seven dining experiences and Indiana's largest ballroom, with City ownership under the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County and direct skywalk access to the Center.

The room count carries three published values. The venue's expansion page gives 803 rooms with a December 2026 target, 90,000 square feet of meeting space and a 50,455-square-foot Grand Ballroom. Newmark's 4Q 2025 Midwest hotel market report gives 814 rooms. Visit Indy's connected-hotels page gives 12 hotels and 5,200 rooms connected once the property joins the package, and states that more than 10,000 rooms will sit within walking distance of the Center. Its new-developments page gives 13 properties and 5,500 hotel rooms.

The venue footer counts 7,100 downtown rooms and 4,700 skywalk-connected rooms. At 800 rooms the Signia equals 11.3 percent of the footer's downtown stock.
