Slow Burn takes the roof on Thursdays
W Hollywood has added Slow Burn to the programming at Velvet Hour, its new rooftop lounge. The weekly blues and R&B series runs Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Hotel Interactive reported the programme on 17 September 2026, and the series opened on 10 September.
Dennis Graham leads the entertainment with his band MRCL & The Melodiks. Special guests join the bill through the night.
The cover is 40 US dollars
Slow Burn charges 40 US dollars a head. The charge covers bar bites, bar service and bottle service. Guests book through OpenTable.
Karaoke takes the same stage on Wednesdays. Open Call runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with no cover charge and books on OpenTable. The rooftop carries programmed entertainment on two nights of the week.
The room turns to the band
Velvet Hour is built around a circular stage that turns through 360 degrees. The report states the layout seats guests around the performers and gives every seat a view of the stage.
Nick Rimedio, general manager of W Hollywood, describes the venue as the next step for a reworked property. The hotel adds comedy showcases, live performances curated with music partners and private buyouts across the year.
Food and sound run with the line-up
The food and beverage programme runs small plates and cocktails with each night's line-up. The menu names a rotating taco-truck-style feature, pizza from Pizza Girl, sushi and a signature Smash Melt.
The rooftop joins a wider sound programme at the property. W Hollywood has partnered with Tempo AI on a soundtrack that responds in real time to guest presence, weather and energy levels, and Tempo Immersive adds a 3D spatial audio system at The Loft.
The property also runs The Creator Lounge, a content studio with murals by artist James Peter Henry, a private terrace, a sound booth, and lighting and microphones that guests adjust for podcasting and self-produced content.
What the report leaves open
The report publishes no build cost, no operator and no seating count for Velvet Hour. It carries no capacity figure and no revenue target for the two weekly nights.
