Waldorf Astoria Miami Starts Its Last Cube

Work began in August 2026 on the ninth and final cube of the 1,049-foot Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami. The tower reached structural level 85 on 23 August, site signage advertises a top-off this winter, and completion is anticipated in the second quarter of 2028.

The last cube

Construction began in August 2026 on the ninth and final cube of Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami at 300 Biscayne Boulevard. Florida YIMBY reported the start on 27 August 2026. The tower runs 100 stories and 1,049 feet, which clears the 300-metre supertall threshold and makes it the first supertall in Florida. Completion is anticipated in the second quarter of 2028.

Level 85 and a winter top-off

Content creator Joel Franco posted on X on 23 August 2026 that the superstructure had reached level 85 as work began on the final cube. Reddit user u/Ant0n61 posted construction photographs to r/skyscrapers the same day. Eight of the nine cubes stand structurally legible. The ninth carries the largest offset from the tower's central axis, and it forms the cantilever in the renderings.

Signage on the site advertises a top-off this winter. YIMBY last covered the superstructure in February 2026, when concrete work passed the 60th floor and entered the sixth cube. Work climbed roughly 25 levels in the six months to August. Curtain wall installation has reached the seventh cube.

The counts

The 2022 groundbreaking release listed 360 private residences and 205 guest rooms and suites. The August 2026 report lists 387 private condominium residences and 205 guest rooms. The residence count gained 27 units, and the hotel key count held.

Bank OZK and Related Fund Management provided $668 million in construction financing, secured in 2024. Neither report publishes a total development cost or a residence price.

The build team

Property Markets Group and Greybrook Realty Partners develop the project with Mohari Hospitality, S2 Development and Hilton. John Moriarty & Associates is general contractor, and Capform delivers the turnkey concrete scope. Sieger Suarez Architects leads the concept design with Carlos Ott, and BAMO handles interiors.

John Moriarty & Associates and Capform completed the mat foundation pour in June 2024: 31 continuous hours, about 12,400 cubic yards of concrete, 195 workers and 1,240 truck deliveries.

What the tower carries

The hotel sits in the first three cubes, with Peacock Alley, a specialty restaurant, indoor and outdoor pre-function and function space, meetings and boardrooms, a pool deck with private cabanas, and a spa and fitness centre. Residents get a separate pool deck, an owner's lounge, a hospitality suite, a billiard room and a kids club. Hilton Management Services manages the property.

The developer publishes no square footage for the function space and no seated capacity for the meeting rooms.
