The one hotel on the calendar
The organiser of the San Francisco Italian Heritage Parade names one hotel property on its own website. The Westin St. Francis Hotel, in Union Square, carries Il Gran Ballo La Dolce Vita After Dark on Saturday 10 October 2026.
The name sits on the events calendar at sfitalianheritage.org/events/ and on the ball's own page. The same name appears in the sidebar of the bazaar page and the High Mass page. The parade page, the bazaar page, the High Mass page and the home page carry no other property name.
What the ballroom publishes
The ball starts at 5:30 p.m. The dress is black tie. The evening carries no host cocktails, dinner and live entertainment from the Lucky Devils Band.
Tickets sell through a Shopify product page the organiser links. The product is named 2026 Grand Ball and typed Event Tickets. The single ticket type is $325. The product page carries a publish stamp of 31 August 2026 and names Molly Leveroni as the contact.
The ball's page gives the venue as the Westin St. Francis Hotel, Union Square. It publishes no room rate, no room block and no booking code for the property.
The page runs on a 2022 slug
The ball's live page answers at /event/2022-grand-ball-il-gran-ballo-italo-americano/. The body copy is the 2026 edition. The events calendar card links to that address.
The organiser's event sitemap lists no separate 2026 ball page. That slug is the route to the ball's copy.
The Saturday address and the Sunday route
The ballroom sits in Union Square. The parade runs on the Sunday, 11 October. The route begins at 12:30 p.m. at the foot of Jefferson and Powell Streets in Fisherman's Wharf. It runs south through North Beach on Columbus Avenue and ends in Washington Square in front of Saints Peter and Paul Church. The organiser’s entry page publishes the route as 1.3 miles, from Beach Street and Jefferson Street west to Filbert Street. Parade viewing is available throughout the entire route.
Two further events sit on the same weekend at one North Beach address. High Mass is at 10 a.m. Sunday at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 666 Filbert St. The Saints Peter and Paul Bazaar runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October at the same address.
The organiser’s accommodation line
The organiser publishes no housing bureau, no room block, no room rate and no cut-off date. Its only accommodation reference is a link labelled Hotel recommendations in San Francisco. That link points at an SF Travel article.
Admission to the parade is free. The free admission covers the Bank of America Concorso Italiano Auto Show. The 2026 Grand Marshal is the actor Joe Mantegna. The Civic Grand Marshal is Bernie Orsi.
The organiser's attendance rules sit in a PDF linked from the parade page. The same document carries the operating entity, Columbus Day Celebration Inc., 678 Green Street, San Francisco, CA 94133, and a phone number, (415) 434-1492. Parade enquiries route to parade@sfitalianheritage.org.
The city basis
Engine puts San Francisco at $165 a night across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. October sits at $176, seven percent above that average. September is $192 and March is the high month at $197. December is the low month at $129.
Engine ranks San Francisco 18 of 50 major markets, 11 percent above a $148 median. It defines its figures as par rates, the cheapest public price at the time of each search.
The demand backdrop
AHLA and CHLA released an Oxford Economics study on 25 June 2026. It puts hotels at more than $12 billion in economic impact in San Francisco in 2025. Each room night drives about $900 in citywide spending. The sector supports nearly 50,000 jobs and pays $2 billion in taxes.
The same report puts average daily rates at 92 percent of 2019 levels in 2025. It forecasts 98 percent for 2026. It credits a stronger convention calendar and the return of large-scale events.
The property read
One ballroom carries the eve-of-parade programme. The gala publishes one price, $325 a ticket. The parade's own paperwork carries no hotel terms.
