Dreamscape Hospitality moved Adam Patenaude from president to president and chief executive officer. LODGING Magazine carried the release on 13 October 2026 under a Dallas dateline. Hotel Dive and HOTELS Magazine ran the appointment the next day.
Patenaude keeps both titles. The release names no successor for the president role. One person now carries the title that signs a management agreement and the title that answers for the company.
What the release counts
The release credits Patenaude with guiding Dreamscape through a period of growth and expansion and with exceeding performance goals. It states that by the end of the operator’s second full year the portfolio will span more than 40 hotels across 13 brands, including Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and IHG, plus independent and boutique properties.
The 40-hotel figure covers the end of the second full year. The operator’s own portfolio page prints “Properties Under Management: 36” and carries no as-at date.
What the release leaves out
No management fee, no contract term, no assignment value and no start date for the expanded role appear in the release. The release also carries no revenue figure and no owner-retention rate.
The pipeline sentence offers no detail either. It says the company will expand its national presence into new markets, and names no market, no hotel count, no signing date, no opening date and no owner.
The chairman on owner relationships
Eric Birnbaum, chairman of Dreamscape Companies, tied the growth to owner relationships. “Under Adam’s leadership, Dreamscape Hospitality has grown at a pace that would be impressive in any market, but what makes it remarkable is how that growth has been built on strong relationships with our owners and partners,” he said. Birnbaum said the foundation will let the company “expand strategically, maintain our standards of excellence, and deliver unmatched value for our partners.”
Where he came from
Patenaude joined Dreamscape Hospitality as president in May 2024 and led the launch, per the trade coverage of that appointment. Before that he was senior vice president of operations at Aimbridge Hospitality.
“Our growth is about more than numbers – it’s about building an organization with the people, systems and culture to consistently deliver exceptional results for our ownership partners,” Patenaude said. He credited the board with a commitment to invest in people and resources.
One date to check
The second full year of operations ends, and the 40-hotel figure lands or it does not. Dreamscape Hospitality’s own site carries no press item for the promotion; its news index ends at 5 October 2026.
