Vinyl Room opens on Mandalay Bay's roof with nearly 5,000 records

Live Nation and MGM Resorts opened Vinyl Room on Mandalay Bay’s roof on 8 August 2026, with three rooms, nearly 5,000 records and a membership arm. The resort labels the floor 63; the tower holds 43 physical floors.

Live Nation and MGM Resorts Open Vinyl Room on the Roof

Vinyl Room opened on the rooftop of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on 8 August 2026. The venue holds 15,000 square feet in the space the Foundation Room previously occupied. Live Nation and MGM Resorts created it together. Live Nation’s own announcement of the opening is dated 11 August 2026. The venue’s own site gives its address as 3950 South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Three Rooms Named for Record Speeds

The venue divides into three spaces. The 78 Lounge carries cocktails and DJ programming. The 45 Dining Room runs the restaurant service. The 33 Members Room holds the private membership arm. Live Nation names all three, and the numbers are the classic record speeds of 78, 45 and 33 revolutions per minute.

Membership includes access to the 33 Members Room, dedicated concierge service, members-only events and Las Vegas concert ticket credits. Eater Las Vegas reported on 25 August 2026 that membership costs $2,500 to start.

Nearly Five Thousand Records

Live Nation gives the collection as nearly 5,000 vinyl records. Eater Las Vegas put the count above 4,700 on 25 August 2026. Signed albums, vintage audio equipment and music memorabilia sit alongside the records. A wheatpaste poster wall by Memphis papermaker Colleen Couch covers decades of Las Vegas performances.

Eater Las Vegas lists MasterSounds Clarity-M speakers in the sound system.

A Listening Room Built by Blueprint Studio

Blueprint Studio designed the venue. Its president, David Codiga, said the project was approached as a listening room inspired by Japanese hi-fi lounges of the 1970s, with a dining and cocktail program layered around the music. Eater Las Vegas names Sean Kenyon on the cocktails and Ryan Derieux on the food.

Sushi Tots, a Wagyu Tomahawk and Song-Named Cocktails

The kitchen runs an Asian-inspired sharing menu. Named dishes include Sushi Tots, Chili Crunch Chicken Wings, King Crab Head Dumplings and a 42-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk Steak. Andy Yates, head of food and beverage, said the menu was built around bold flavor, high-quality ingredients and dishes that surprise guests.

The bar names its cocktails after songs. Strawberry Moon is an El Tesoro Reposado tequila margarita with strawberry and gochujang. House of the Rising Sun is a martini with Haku vodka and Junmai sake. Superfly mixes Roku gin, lemon, yuzu and sencha, and is also served as a zero-proof cocktail.

Sunset Sessions and Two Weeknight Residencies

Sunset Sessions run daily from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays belong to Disco’s Revenge, a disco and funk night. Tuesdays belong to Pura Vida, built on reggaeton, Latin pop, salsa and bachata. The venue’s own events calendar lists further recurring programming, including Rewind Wednesday, Hype Night, Sunday Service and Social Frequency.

Kurt Melien, president of Live Nation Las Vegas, said every evening is curated to create a listening experience that brings people together.

Vinyl Room opens daily at 3 p.m. and takes reservations through OpenTable. The venue also books private events, including corporate gatherings and brand activations.

The Floor Number Carries the Label, Not the Count

Live Nation and MGM place the venue on the 63rd floor, and Eater Las Vegas repeats that figure. Casino.org reported on 10 August 2026 that Mandalay Bay’s tower holds 43 physical floors. The numbering skips floors 40 to 59, so the roof levels carry the labels 60 to 63.

A Second Venue Carries the Same Name

Live Nation operates a members-only Vinyl Room inside the Hollywood Palladium. Eater Las Vegas reports that the Hollywood venue opens on nights the Palladium operates. The two carry separate addresses and separate memberships.
