Waldorf Astoria and Conrad Riviera Maya Convert to All-Inclusive

Hilton moved Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya to all-inclusive operation on 1 October 2026.

The first all-inclusives for Waldorf Astoria and Conrad

Hilton moved Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya to all-inclusive operation on 1 October 2026. The two resorts sit on Mexico’s Caribbean coast and now trade as distinct all-inclusive properties.

The Points Guy reports the two are the first Waldorf Astoria and Conrad hotels to become all-inclusive resorts. Travel Weekly reports Conrad Tulum tested the format with an all-inclusive deal in 2025 and Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya launched an all-inclusive package option earlier in 2026.

Two brands, two positionings

Hilton gives the resorts separate audiences. Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya runs an adults-only all-inclusive built around oceanfront privacy and a dedicated Personal Concierge. The concierge handles dining reservations, wellness appointments, transport, excursions and celebrations for each guest.

Hilton positions Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya for adults who want privacy, anticipatory service, chef-led dining and an intimate oceanfront pace. Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya is set for travelers of every generation who want discovery and culinary variety.

Sylvia Scholey on the category

“As we continue to expand Hilton’s All-Inclusive portfolio, Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya give guests a more personal way to stay, dine and explore the local culture,” said Sylvia Scholey, vice president and global head All-Inclusive and Resorts, Hilton. Scholey said travelers want the freedom and ease of an all-inclusive resort alongside the personalization and sense of place they expect from Hilton’s luxury brands.

The Waldorf Astoria moves to adults only

From 10 January 2027, Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya will serve registered guests aged 18 and older. The release states the date, and the property’s own all-inclusive page carries an Adults Only From January 10, 2027 notice.

Existing Waldorf Astoria reservations hold their booking terms. Bookings that include guests under 18 with arrivals on or after 10 January 2027 are the exception. The resort says it will work with those guests on alternative accommodation.

The 173-room Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya opened in November 2022, per The Points Guy.

Ceiba Club at Conrad Tulum

Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya keeps its multi-generational operation and adds Ceiba Club, an adults-only section reserved for registered guests aged 18 and older. The property’s all-inclusive page dates the restriction to 10 January 2027.

Ceiba Club access covers the Autor restaurant, Ceiba Lounge, Carbon Restaurant and an adults-only pool and beach. Autor serves contemporary Mexican cuisine. The property describes Autor as Michelin-recognized and quotes the Michelin Guide.

Culinary and experience programming

Both resorts tie the all-inclusive stay to food and scheduled experiences. Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya lists live-fire cooking at Malpeque, a Mexican cheese cart, tableside carving and salt tastings, the Mesa de Maíz and a Mexican dessert cart at Chaya, agave discovery and a Margarita Cart at JA’O, and breakfast with afternoon tea at Peacock Alley. BonbonOm, a Mexican coffee venue, is to come.

Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya lists Mediterranean sharing at Maratea, Japanese craftsmanship at Ukai, live teppanyaki at Kengai, Mexican-inspired cocktails at Ultramar, coastal dishes at Chiringuito Crudo and fire-led cooking at Chiringuito Leña.

Stays of four consecutive nights or longer may include one resort experience or destination excursion per stay. Hilton lists 24-hour in-room dining, a minibar refreshed daily, and private round-trip airport transfers for eligible direct bookings as inclusions.

Where the resorts sit in the portfolio

Hilton places both properties inside its all-inclusive portfolio. The company reports 28 brands, more than 9,400 properties and nearly 1.4 million rooms across 144 countries. Conrad counts 51 properties across five continents, per the release. The Points Guy reports 173 rooms at Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya and 349 rooms and suites at Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya.

Luxury flags are moving into the segment at the same time. Travel Weekly reports Hyatt plans the Park Hyatt Riviera Maya as the first all-inclusive for that brand, Marriott has opened the JW Marriott brand’s first all-inclusive in Costa Rica, and a Ritz-Carlton all-inclusive is planned for Punta Cana in 2028.
